Having both hands available in the cockpit is essential, and if one is tied up by holding a flashlight that light will inevitably end up in your mouth. The Flight Gear Bite Light was specifically designed to solve this problem, with a silicone ring on the back for just such occasions. 

The unique features don't stop there, because pilots have a very specific set of requirements when it comes to flashlights. We need a bright white light for preflight and a soft red light for preserving night vision. Having independent switches for each color of light is essential, as it would defeat the purpose if you have to scroll through the white light to get to the red light. The Flight Gear Bite Light checks all these boxes and more.

Minimal footprint won't take up too much space in your flight bag, yet still feels substantial in your hand. The Flight Gear Bite Light includes a charging cable, rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery, metal clip, and wrist lanyard. Measures approximately 4.75” long X 1” diameter. 

Operation: 

The button labeled W will operate the white light. One press will turn on the white light on low. A second press will bring the white light to medium, and a third press will put the white light on high. Press the W button one more time to turn the light off.

The button with the power symbol and the word red underneath it will operate the red light.  One press will turn the red light on low.  A second press will put the red light into high.  Press the power button again to turn the red light off. 

Note: The white and red light can not both be on at the same time. Turning one color of light on will automatically turn the other color off.
