4-Stroke V-Twin Power

4-Stroke Sport and Super Sport Aircraft

The Mini-Max Sport aircraft formula with V-Twin 4-stroke power. Choose the Sport models for simple 4-stroke fun, or step up to the Super Sport models for more width, higher horsepower, stronger structure, more useful load, more fuel, more range, and more storage capacity.

The Mini-Max feel with a V-Twin heart.

The 4-Stroke Sport Series keeps the classic Mini-Max aircraft formula and updates the firewall-forward package around V-Twin 4-stroke power.

Sport Same basic aircraft family, V-Twin firewall package.
Super Sport 2 inches wider, stronger spar, more useful load.
4-Stroke Built for longer life between overhauls.
V-Twin Torque, sound, reliability, and personality.

The next evolution of Mini-Max Sport aircraft.

The 4-Stroke Sport and Super Sport Series takes the simple, honest Mini-Max Sport aircraft formula and gives it a new powerplant path. These aircraft are built around V-Twin 4-stroke power, giving builders a different sound, different feel, and a more durable engine ownership experience.

Compared to the 2-stroke Sport aircraft, the 4-Stroke Sport models are essentially the same aircraft family with a different firewall package and V-Twin powerplant. You still get the familiar Mini-Max size, build approach, wood-and-fabric structure, and fun flying personality. The difference is up front.

The Super Sport models build on that same idea with more room, more structure, more horsepower, and more useful load.

2-stroke vs 4-stroke

Same Mini-Max spirit. A different powerplant experience.

The 4-Stroke Sport aircraft are best understood as the familiar Mini-Max Sport aircraft concept, updated around a V-Twin 4-stroke firewall-forward package.

Classic path

2-Stroke Sport

The 2-stroke Sport aircraft carry the original Mini-Max legacy: lightweight power, simple systems, low cost, and classic small-aircraft energy.

  • Lighter 2-stroke powerplants
  • Traditional Mini-Max sport flying feel
  • Simple and responsive
  • Good for builders who want the classic Mini-Max experience

Sport vs Super Sport

Choose simple V-Twin fun or step up to more capability.

The Sport models are the direct 4-stroke evolution of the standard Mini-Max Sport aircraft. The Super Sport models are widened and strengthened for more power, more useful load, and more room.

Feature 4-Stroke Sport 4-Stroke Super Sport
Basic concept The familiar Mini-Max Sport aircraft with a V-Twin firewall package. A wider, stronger, higher-capability version of the 4-stroke Sport concept.
Cockpit width Standard Sport aircraft width. 2 inches wider for more comfort and room.
Wing structure Sport aircraft wing structure. Thicker wing spar for higher capability.
Powerplant V-Twin 4-stroke power. Higher horsepower V-Twin 4-stroke power.
Useful load Built around simple 4-stroke sport flying. More useful load for more fuel, range, and storage capacity.
Best fit Builders who want the V-Twin experience in the standard Sport aircraft layout. Builders who want more room, more capability, and more long-term flexibility.
Important: Useful load, range, fuel capacity, storage, engine selection, and final performance depend on the exact model, equipment, empty weight, engine installation, propeller, builder choices, and final inspection.
