Build your 1703R Hi-Max Ultralight one section at a time. These Mini-Kits are for builders who want to spread out cost, order the aircraft sections they need, and move from plans to real airframe progress without buying a full kit all at once.
The Wing Rib Kit is available as Raw Materials, Laser Cut Gussets, or Prebuilt Wing Ribs. Raw Materials are for builders who want to build the ribs themselves. Prebuilt Wing Ribs are for builders who want to save time on one of the most repetitive and detail-sensitive parts of the wing build.
The Wing Rib Kit covers the ribs. The Wing Assembly Kit covers the spars, fittings, hardware, and wing structure components used to assemble the wing after the ribs are built.

Plans, engine, propeller, covering, paint, instruments, avionics, wiring, electronics, shipping, assembly labor, inspection, registration, training, and other items may be separate unless specifically listed.

Estimated build time depends on the kit level you choose and your experience. Prefab wing ribs and prefab metal parts meaningfully reduce build time.

The 1703R Hi-Max Ultralight is designed as a single-seat Part 103 ultralight candidate. Under FAA Part 103, a legal ultralight needs no pilot license, no medical, and no aircraft registration when the finished aircraft meets the Part 103 limits.
Part 103 also makes the 1703R Hi-Max Ultralight an affordable way to build flight time — low purchase and operating cost for recreational flying and hour building.
Final Part 103 eligibility depends on your finished configuration, weight, and equipment. You are responsible for verifying actual empty weight, speed, stall speed, and fuel capacity before flight. No listing statement is an FAA determination of eligibility.
