1250SS Speedster Super Sport Mini-Kits
Build your 1250SS Speedster Super Sport in stages. Choose one airframe section and the fabrication option available for that section. Each selection is a separate Mini-Kit purchase, not a complete aircraft kit.
Wing Rib Kit Options
The Wing Rib Kit is available as Raw Materials, Laser Cut Gussets, or Prebuilt Wing Ribs. Raw Materials are for builders who want to build the ribs themselves. Prebuilt Wing Ribs are for builders who want to save time on one of the most repetitive and detail-sensitive parts of the wing build.
Wing Rib Kit vs Wing Assembly Kit
The Wing Rib Kit covers the ribs. The Wing Assembly Kit covers the spars, fittings, hardware, and wing structure components used to assemble the wing after the ribs are built.
Important
Plans, engine, propeller, covering, paint, instruments, avionics, wiring, electronics, shipping, assembly labor, inspection, registration, training, and other items may be separate unless specifically listed.
Choose your section and version
The Wing Rib Kit and Wing Assembly Kit are separate purchases. Select the matching section and version before adding it to your cart.

What's Included+
Mini-Kits let you stage your 1250SS Speedster Super Sport build and spread out cost — order the airframe sections you need and move from plans to real airframe progress without buying a full kit all at once.
- Order individual airframe sections (for example wing rib kits and wing assembly kits).
- Choose the material level where offered — raw materials, laser-cut gussets, or prebuilt wing ribs.
- Combine sections over time to complete the airframe at your own pace.
Not included unless listed
Engine, propeller, instruments, avionics, battery, wiring, covering, paint, upholstery, shipping, assembly labor, registration, certification, inspection, and training are not included unless the product page or invoice specifically says so.
Build Time & Skill Level+
Estimated build time depends on the kit level you choose and your experience. Prefab wing ribs and prefab metal parts meaningfully reduce build time.
- Base kit build time: 325-400 Hours
- Prefab quick-build kit build time: 250-300 Hours
This is an amateur-built, wood-and-fabric aircraft designed for hands-on homebuilders. Typical skills:
- Basic woodworking, measuring, and drilling
- Riveting and assembly of metal parts
- Epoxy work and fabric covering
- No welding or advanced machining required for a standard build
Mini-Max USA builder-assist support is available to help you finish.
Part 103 & Experimental+
The 1250SS Speedster Super Sport is typically completed and licensed as an Experimental Amateur-Built (E-AB) aircraft. Under the FAA 'major portion' (51%) rule, a homebuilt aircraft you build for education and recreation can receive a special airworthiness certificate in the Experimental Amateur-Built category.
- N-number registration and an airworthiness inspection are required before first flight.
- The builder of the major portion may apply for a Repairman Certificate for that aircraft.
- May be flown by Sport Pilot or Private Pilot certificate holders, depending on the aircraft and pilot.
- A low-cost, wood-and-fabric homebuilt — a practical way to build and fly your own airplane and accumulate flight time affordably.
Final category, eligibility, and operating limitations depend on your build, documentation, inspection results, and applicable regulations. You are responsible for registration, certification, and legal operation. No listing statement is an FAA determination.
Shipping & Returns+
Most in-stock items ship within 3–5 business days. Full aircraft kits and large or heavy items may ship by motor freight, and transit times vary.
For returns, freight quotes, or questions, review our Refund Policy, see Shipping & Pickup, or contact us.
