Hydraulic Braided Hose Option: Upgrade from standard nylon to premium braided hoses with JIC female swivel fittings for superior flexibility and durability. Hoses are stocked in 1-foot increments for easy configuration:
Single-lever MC setup: Hose 1 → Master Cylinder to Tee; Hoses 2 & 3 → Tee to each caliper.
Dual-lever or heel/toe setup: Hoses 1 & 2 → Master Cylinder directly to calipers.
Tire Note: We recommend a minimum of 4-ply tires to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Made for Mini-Max and Hi-Max
Hydraulic disc braking sized for the Mini-Max family. Hi-Max models work with steel or aluminum spring gear. Mid-wing Mini-Max models need metal gear and some additional fabrication; tell us your model in the first step and we will confirm the right setup.
Choose axle length by landing gear
Use extended axles when the landing gear has a strut on the outside of the gear, including mid-wing Mini-Max and SuperMax installations. Standard axles are used on most Hi-Max and AeroMax models.
Why hydraulic discs
Crisp, repeatable stopping compared with band or drum brakes: easier taxiing, more control on short fields and at higher operating weights.
Dual-puck option
Dual-puck calipers add braking force for heavier builds and, when plumbed correctly, support independent pilot and copilot braking.
Braided hose option
Upgrade from nylon line to braided hose with JIC female swivel fittings, stocked in one-foot lengths. Single-lever and single heel/toe systems use three hoses (master cylinder to tee, tee to each caliper); dual systems use one hose per circuit.
Tire recommendation
Black Max recommends at least a 4-ply tire with this 3/4" kit. The configurator flags the 2-ply option if you choose it.
